Orange Moon Sunday, June 12, 2022 "Christ Preeminent"

The Special of the Day… From the Orange Moon Cafe…

(a repeat from 2020)

"Christ Preeminent"

In both Heaven and earth, there is no one like the Lord Jesus Christ.  He is the God who became man and the man who remains God. He is the chief delight of His Father, the Lamb worshipped by angels, and the beloved Savior of trusting human hearts.  His union of Divine and human nature constitutes Him as the most fascinating subject of both time and eternity.  We can never know enough about Him, nor can we ever love, trust, obey, and honor Him to the degree He merits.  Yes, in both Heaven and earth there is no one like the Lord Jesus Christ.

"This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased" (Matthew 3:17).

"And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb forever and ever" (Revelation 5:11-13).

"To whom shall we go?  Thou hast the words of eternal life" (John 6:68).

The Apostle Paul declared the Lord Jesus as the One purposed by God to "in all things... have the Preeminence" (Colossians 1:18).  We must join Paul with the same declaration personally affirmed in our hearts.  Will our countenance, demeanor, attitudes, words, and actions serve in this day as a moon that reflects the sun (Son)?  Whatever our plans and purposes, this holy aspiration must be primary.  "We are ambassadors for Christ" (II Corinthians 5:20).  The Holy Spirit who ever seeks to glorify and reveal the Lord Jesus dwells within believers to foster His motivation in our hearts (John 16:14; 15:26-27).  As we embark upon on the voyage of each new day, we must set our sails to the prevailing Divine wind of Christ preeminent in all things.  "Whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God" (I Corinthians 10:31).

Much will challenge our determination, including the devil, the world system, and the flesh of others and of ourselves.  Contrary winds will sometimes blow our ship off course.  As we look to the One we seek to represent, however, He will maintain our journey toward Heavenly horizons.  Our Savior is perfectly prepared for every contingency as "the author and finisher of our faith" (Hebrews 12:2).  Little wonder then that God, angels, and redeemed human hearts unite to proclaim the blessed truth of Christ preeminent.  In both Heaven and earth, there is no one like the Lord Jesus Christ.  May the truth be more and more established, maintained, and enhanced in our hearts...

"But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our  Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
(II Peter 3:18)

Weekly Memory Verse
"For Thou, LORD, hast made me glad through Thy work: I will triumph in the works of Thy hands."
(Psalm 92:4)
