Songs: The Storm is Passed

The Storm is Passed
Lyrics and Music

Psalm 27:4

One thing have I desired of the Lord,
that will I seek after;
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And inquire in His temple.

We must love Him for Himself and not His blessings.
He alone can fill the void of our hearts.
Let us look upon His face and into His holy Word
as the Spirit cries within us "Abba Father."
And we behold the beauty of the Lord,
And inquire in His temple.

He Made You for Me

Sometimes it seems so long ago that I felt so alone
And I thought that my path would be traveled as one.
But then I looked into your eyes
And saw the sweetest surprise,
God had made someone for me,
He had made you for me.

For as I ran the holy race, looking into His face,
I felt a warmth by my side,
You were there stride for stride.
So I took your heart in mine,
As one we walked toward His light,
And I give thanks and bow my knees,
For He made you for me.
He made you for me.

My love, I love that you and I will share the grace of His life,
Our home will be wheree’er He leads,
His face together we’ll seek,
And as the years flow ever on,
We’ll hear more clearly His song,
And I will raise my voice to sing,
That God made you for me.

And as the years flow ever on,
We’ll hear more clearly His song,
And will I raise my voice to sing,
He made you for me.
God made you for me.

Jesus, Holy One

Jesus, Holy One, the Ancient of all days,
I look to You my Sovereign,
Show me of Thy Glory,
Cause that I might only trust Thee Lord of Heaven.
Then one day return and take me far away
Unto the home of our dear Father,
To praise His holy name together,
Forever.

Calvary, sad place,
I think about the grace which flowed from your great sorrow.
For on that day so dark when perfect Love was marred,
You watched the pain and horror.
But now when human hearts remember You,
we fall unto our knees in gratitude
to praise His holy name together,
Forever.

Jesus, Holy One, the Ancient of all days,
I look to You my Sovereign,
Show me of Thy Glory,
Cause that I might only trust Thee Lord of Heaven.
Then one day return and take me far away
Unto the home of our dear Father,
To praise His holy name together,
Forever.

Give it to Jesus

Well this world in which we live will break your heart.
It will reach inside your soul and tear it apart.
So you better look unto the One beyond the stars.

You better give your lonely heart,
Give it to Jesus.
Give it to Jesus.

Everywhere you look this sad world is filled with tears.
And the hearts of broken men are failing for tears.
More and more each day the only hope becomes clear.

You better give your lonely heart,
Give it to Jesus.
Give it to Jesus.

Give it to Jesus.
Give it to Jesus.

Well this world in which we live will break your heart.
It will reach inside your soul and tear it apart.
So you better look unto the One beyond the stars.

You better give your lonely heart,
You better give your lonely heart,
You better give your lonely heart,
Give it to Jesus.
Give it to Jesus.
Give it to Jesus.
Give it to Jesus.
 Give your heart to Jesus.

Mary as You Hold Him

Oh, Mary as you hold Him,
Do you think about the day that He will leave?
A mother’s heart shall be broken,
But man will find a hope he can believe.
Oh, Mary, as you hold Him.

A virgin shall conceive the prophet told us,
Yes, Mary’s womb shall be His first abode.
Then He’ll give His life for a ransom
And make our trusting hearts into His home.
Oh, Mary as you hold Him.
Oh, Mary as you hold Him.

So let us sing our joyous Alleluias.
They glory of this story can’t be told.
For Mary’s child became our risen Savior,
The Holy One the grave could never hold.
Oh, Mary as you hold Him.
Oh, Mary as you hold Him.

All My Springs

All my springs are in Thee,
You are the fount of my being,
And I look only to Thee to find
fulfillment and meaning. . .
For all my springs are in Thee,
All my springs are in Thee.

Rivers of purest joy
flow swiftly into our spirits,
And as the mercy tides roll,
Your voice, Lord,
Oh, I can hear it. . .
For all my springs are in Thee,
All my springs are in Thee.

So let me drink, Lord, of Thee,
o, lead me beside Thy Wellspring;
And in the water I'll see
reflections of Christ so lovely. . .

For all my springs are in Thee,
All my springs are in Thee.

All my springs are in Thee.

There is a Day

There is a day that's coming soon
When we will go to be with Him
And every tear will be wiped away
By our Father in that blessed day.

Oh, there is a day, there is a day,
There is a day, there is a day.

There is a grace that pardons those
Who look into the face of God's own Son.
For every sin is washed away
When we place our trust in the Holy One.

Oh, there is a day, there is a day,
There is a day, there is a day.

There is a day.

There is a love that fills this moment
That's given by the Holy Spirit.
He leads us by God's blessed word.
Just listen now and you can hear it.

Oh, there is a day, there is a day,
There is a day, there is a day.

Oh, there is a day, there is a day,
There is a day, there is a day.

Oh, there is a day, there is a day,
There is a day, there is a day.

Early in Eternity

An old man sits by a dying fire,
Dreaming sweet, sad dreams of days gone by.
And he wonders how time slipped away.
Then he smiles as he hears the Spirit say,
That it’s early in eternity,
and his blessed Lord he soon will see.
And the woman that he loves so well,
Will stand him with so much to tell.

Well he lived a life so pure and fine,
For he kept his Lord always in mind.
Although his days on earth are soon to fail,
A quiet joy still in heart prevails.

Because it’s early in eternity,
and his blessed Lord he soon will see.
And the woman that he loves so well,
Will stand him with so much to tell.

The embers fade as his eyes grow tired,
And the day’s last prayer he gently sighs.
As he rises from his old soft chair,
He knows that very soon he will be there,
He’s glad that very soon he will be there,
He will be there.

Because it’s early in eternity,
and his blessed Lord he soon will see.
And the woman that he loves so well,
Will stand him with so much to tell.

Because it’s early in eternity,
and his blessed Lord he soon will see.
And the woman that he loves so well,
Will stand him with so much to tell.

Yes, it’s early in eternity,
and his blessed Lord he soon will see.
And the woman that he loves so well,
Will stand him with so much to tell, so much to tell.

Bloody Seas

Through bloody seas we’ve sailed to you, tossed in the dark and storm;
Lashed to a battered, aging Mast, caught by a shapeless Form.
We often begged to change our course, but our Helmsman stayed the fight,
And now we’ve found Your harbor safe, and drowned in your Light.

The stillness of Your water calm has brought this ship to rest,
Anchored by the certainty that You were worth the quest,
For if we had to dare again the cold, the fear, the night,
We swim ten thousand times through hell to drawn in Your Light.
.
We have found Your harbor safe.

I always thought that if we reached this longed-for destiny,
We’d never have to taste again that deep and bloody sea.
But as we stand on this firm shore and we look back toward the blight,
We see so many souls that need to drown in Your Light.

So we will sail again, and fill that void, with Your Light.
Yes, we will sail again and fill that void with Your Light.
With Your Light. With Your Light.
With Your Light. With Your Light.

The Storm Has Passed

The storm has passed and all remains,
O praise be unto our Lord.
For in the dark, in despair and pain,
He proved He is our God.
O praise be unto the Lord.

I don’t suppose that we ever thought
We’d come unto this place,
Where everything that we’ve had or known
Hung on a thread of grace.
But in a fallen world I guess
Nothing stays the same.
For glory comes at such bitter cost,
We pay for peace with pain.

The storm has passed and all remains,
O praise be unto our Lord.
For in the dark, in despair and pain,
He proved He is our God.
O praise be unto the Lord.

So now the future waits for us,
By grace we have endured,
O send us now in Your Holiness
To bless a hurting world.
For Father we are Yours for this,
Our purpose now is pure,
We’ll testify that to live is Christ,
The only Haven sure.

The storm has passed and all remains,
O praise be unto our Lord.
For in the dark, in despair and pain,
He proved He is our God.
O praise be unto the Lord.

Son of Bethlehem

There was a star that shone in the eastern sky,
When trust was gone and hope had died.
And in the glory of that holy Light,
The poor and blind can see.

Shine on us oh Sun of Bethlehem,
Lead us to the place of God’s dear Lamb.
Cause us there to bow with humble faith,
Fix our gaze upon His lovely face.

Shepherds came unto that manger hold,
To see the One of whom the prophets had told,
But kings and rich men and the strong stayed away,
They’re still waiting for another day.

Shine on us oh Sun of Bethlehem,
Lead us to the place of God’s dear Lamb.
Cause us there to bow with humble faith,
Fix our gaze upon His lovely face.

Twenty centuries have now come and gone,
Sometimes it seems as if that light is not on,
But keep your eyes upon the eastern sky,
Very soon it will fill up with light.
Shine on us oh Sun of Bethlehem,
Lead us to the place of God’s dear Lamb.
Cause us there to bow with humble faith,
Fix our gaze upon His lovely face.
.

Carry On

There is a time, there is a season,
When we shall know the rhyme, the reason.
But until that day when we shall know as we are known,
We must trust as a child and we must carry on.

Carry on.  Carry on.
Carry on.  Carry on.
Carry on.

Sometimes the night is overwhelming.
Seems like the darkness lasts forever,
But in those black times, if we open up our eyes,
And behold as a child, we will carry on.

Carry on.  Carry on.
Carry on.  Carry on.
Carry on.

We must trust as a child, we must carry on.

Carry on.  Carry on.
Carry on.  Carry on.
Carry on.

Everlasting Love

I have loved you with an everlasting Love,
I have given to your needy heart
The Spirit of my Son.
You can know with perfect certainty
My Heart will never turn.
I will love you with an everlasting Love.
I will love you with an everlasting Love.
Everlasting Love.
