Saturday Songs -22- “His Joy Still Remains" For Alice

Saturday Songs

-22-

"His Joy Still Remains"

Friends: I wrote this when Frances's parents passed away more than 20 years ago.  We send it today because Alice Reed, the 5 year old granddaughter of our dear Orange Moon brother and friend, Randy Reed, went to be with our Lord today.  Many of you prayed for her in these last few months during her challenge with cancer.  Those prayers were answered, albeit in accordance with God's perfect way and wisdom.  As the song begins, "So for now, farewell."   For now, Alice, just for now.  Thanks,  Glen

His Joy Still Remains
Words and Music by Glen Davis

So for now, farewell, I bid you leave
with the tears of sorrow’s well.
But in my heart I can tell, I can tell
that His joy still remains,
and you and I will meet again.

Where you are, there is no pain.
For in that hour when you looked into God’s face,
every sadness flew away, flew away,
and His joy still remains,
and you and I will meet again.

Until that day, I will smile
every time I think of you in days gone by.
But most of all I will praise, I will praise,
for His joy still remains,
and you and I will meet again.
