Orange Moon Tuesday, September 26, 2023 "Always In Remembrance"

The Special of the Day… From the Orange Moon Cafe…

"Always In Remembrance"

"We must at times be reminded, encouraged, and exhorted to affirm that the Holy Spirit came to stay when He entered our hearts in the moment we believed the Gospel.  Moreover, He brought with Him provision for every moment of our earthly lives, and forevermore beyond."

We must all be reminded of truths we may have long believed, but which must be called to the surface of our consciousness.

"Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth" (II Peter 1:12).

The world, the devil, and the flesh ever seek to distract us from "those things which are most surely believed among us" (Luke 1:1).  Our enemies can be successful if we fail to avail ourselves of the gifts God has given to remind us of how abundantly He has provided for the life to which He calls us.

"His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue" (II Peter 1:3).

"All things" promises the Apostle Peter of God's provision in the Lord Jesus.  We can live, however, as if our Heavenly Father has merely given some things, or even nothing regarding the doings of life through Christ, and the character of our heart in Christ.  Or, we may need to specifically apply a truth we believe, but only in general terms.  "All things" include this thing, this matter at hand that portends of dire consequences, but only if we wander into facing the challenge as if alone and without the fulfilled promise of God's presence and working.  We must at times be reminded, encouraged, and exhorted to affirm that the Holy Spirit came to stay when He entered our hearts in the moment we believed the Gospel.  Moreover, He brought with Him provision for every moment of our earthly lives, and forevermore beyond.  "My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).

This is written as a reminder to my own heart of "things most surely believed among us."  Perhaps it may serve to provide a glimmer of remembrance for your heart also as we seek to encourage one another that all means all when the Bible promises God's presence and provision.  Let us apply the truth specially to the matters at hand, in the light of Christ within our hearts, and present along every pathway of challenge in our lives…

"But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and He that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art Mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee."
(Isaiah 43:1-2)
"In all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us."
(Romans 8:37)
