Orange Moon "The Throne of Grace" Part 3 "Why a Throne of Grace?"

The Special of the Day… From the Orange Moon Cafe…

   "The Throne of Grace"

Part 3 - Why a Throne of Grace?

What constitutes the Throne of grace as a Throne of grace?

"He hath made us accepted in the Beloved, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace" (Ephesians 1:6-7).

A cross of pain, sorrow, forsakenness, and death made possible a Throne of grace.  The precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ stains every genuine prayer we will ever offer to God.  More importantly, His blood stains every answer to prayer our Heavenly Father provides.  Were it not for the suffering death of the Lord Jesus, a Throne of judgment and wrath would rightly be the seat of justice on which our Lord sits.  We would rightly run from such a terrible place, but there would be nowhere to hide.  Instead, for believers, our Father beckons by His Son and His Spirit to come freely, to come often, to come joyfully, and to come forever.

A trail of Blood graces the path

leading to the Throne,

Where God receives the trusting heart,

approaching by His Son.

Without the cross, there could not be

this access freely known.

Without such sorrow, pain, and loss,

We'd have nowhere to go.

Yes, every prayer flows to the Throne

on floodtides of Christ's blood.

We come with grateful, trusting hope

in wonder of such love.

A trail of Blood graces the path

leading to the Throne.

The more we remember and affirm within our hearts the cost of prayer, the more we will avail ourselves to the grace of prayer. May our Father lead us in such holy and solemn light to the blessed Throne made possible by our blessed Savior's sacrifice.

"Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which He hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh, and having an high priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith."

(Hebrews 10:19-22)
