Orange Moon Friday, September 23, 2022 "God's Perspective and Our's"

The Special of the Day… From the Orange Moon Cafe…

               "God's Perspective and Our's"

To a large degree, faith involves the discovery of how God views matters, and then joining Him in His perspective.  This begins with our salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ.

"This is My Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" (Matthew 3:17).
"Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God" (I John 4:15).

We continue in such faith after becoming believers.

"He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?" (Romans 8:32).
"Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?" (I John 5:5).

If we could audibly hear the voice of our Heavenly Father, He would direct us to His Son as the source and supply He provides, and which we must receive.  In lieu of such communication at present, His Word and His Spirit bear witness to this truth (John 5:39; 15:26).  Thus, to join the Father in His perspective and walk by faith, we seek to discover who Christ is to both Him and to ourselves.  The Father's focus must increasingly become our focus, resulting in a shared fellowship of love for the Lord Jesus, and a subsequent life of seeking to exalt, love, trust, and obey the One who serves as the heart of God's "eternal purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Ephesians 3:11).

To live by faith means we join our Heavenly Father in exalting the Lord Jesus as the center and circumference of both time and eternity.    The Apostle John well knew this about the Father's devotion to His Son and His purpose in Him.  We close with John's affirmation that our faith ever involves God's Christ-exalting perspective that must increasingly become our perspective…

"That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ."
(I John 1:3)
"All men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father."
(John 5:23)
"In Thy light shall we see light."
(Psalm 36:9)

Weekly Memory Verse
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.
(John 14:6)
