Orange Moon Friday, May 13, 2022 "The Centrality of Relationship"

The Special of the Day… From the Orange Moon Cafe…

"The Centrality of Relationship"

     God alone has always existed.

"From everlasting to everlasting, Thou art God" (Psalm 90:2).

Of the infinitely vast measure of light this truth shines upon us, one particularly bright ray reveals the centrality of relationship.  Indeed, it could be said that before anything else came into being, a Relationship existed.  The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit dwelt as one God, but in three distinct Persons united in a perfect triunity of love.

"There is one God" (I Timothy 2:5).
"God is love" (I John 4:8).
"Grace be with you, mercy and peace, from God the Father" (II John 1:3).
"Unto the Son He saith, Thy throne, o God, is forever and ever" (Hebrews 1:8).
"But Peter said, Annanias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Spirit?... Thou has not lied unto men, but unto God" (Acts 5:3).

Again, this truth of our Lord's nature centralizes relationship as the heart and essence of Himself, and of His creation.  "The invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and godhead" (Romans 1:18).  This includes you and me.  Whatever else takes place in our multifaceted lives, relationship with God and people must be established as primary.

"Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength.  This is the first commandment.  And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself" (Mark 12:30-31).

If ever we wonder what the Lord is doing in our lives, we can be sure all things flow with the current of our relationship with Him and with people.  He ever works to redeem us unto our intended purpose of knowing the bond of love that exists in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  Thereby we will become moons to the sun - Son - absorbing and reflecting the Light of loving devotion to God and others meant to shine within all hearts, and in all things.  "Beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, we are changed into the same image, from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (II Corinthians 3:18).

Whatever else may take place in our lives today, we can be sure that amid all, our Heavenly Father works to motivate, guide, and enable us to realize the centrality of relationship with Him and with others.  The beauty of such glory is that so much opportunity exists whereby we may experience God's love, respond to Him in kind, and then love others as the direct expression of walking in an eternally ancient wonder of Devotion that has always been, and will always be.  Yes, in God, in ourselves, and in all things, relationship is central.

"The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given unto us."
(Romans 5:5)
"Walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savor."
(Ephesians 5:2).
"And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity (love), I am nothing."
(I Corinthians 13:2)

Weekly Memory Verse
"Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and Thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart."
 (Jeremiah 15:16).
