"The Throne of Grace"
Part 4 - "Grace For Grace"
The Throne of grace that bids us to come and receive God's undeserved generosity also calls us to go forth from the Throne with a heart of grace for others.
"And of His fulness have all we received, and grace for grace" (John 1:16).
The Apostle Paul offers strong confirmation for this by each of the epistles opening with a form of his greeting to the Romans: "Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 1:7). Indeed, the grace Paul discovered in His Father's heart by walking in close fellowship became the grace he sought to bestow upon others. As the moon absorbs the light of the son, the Apostle drew near to the splendor of Christ and came forth with his Savior's illumination of grace shining brightly in his attitudes, words, and deeds. "Freely ye have received, freely give" (Matthew 10:8)
We receive God's grace not only to meet our personal needs, but even more, for the grace of seeking to lead others to find God's favor in Christ and the undeserved blessings that flow from the Throne. Our determination to give that which receive at the Throne grants a far richer and deeper experience of God's undeserved blessing by His Son, both for ourselves and for those blessed by our experience of "grace for grace."
"Beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, we are changed into the same image, from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord."
(II Corinthians 3:18)
