Saturday Songs -25- "I Need Thee Every Hour"

The Special of the Day… From the Orange Moon Cafe…

(Friends, each Saturday this year, we are sending the lyrics and a recorded version of one of our songs.  This one is actually not one of ours, but rather a hymn Frances and I greatly love, "I Need Thee Every Hour."  The version was recorded acapella, with six parts, three of Frances's voice, and three of mine.  Of course, I know what you're thinking, "Three of Frances sounds great.  But three of Glen!!!!!  C'mon!!!!"  Agreed, but I nevertheless hope you find it encouraging.  Thanks, Glen)

I Need Thee Every Hour
Words by Annie S. Hawks
Refrain and Music by Robert Lowry

I need Thee every hour, most gracious Lord;
No tender voice like Thine can peace afford.
Refrain:
I need Thee, oh, I need Thee;
Every hour I need Thee;
Oh, bless me now, my Savior,
I come to Thee.

I need Thee every hour, stay Thou nearby;
Temptations lose their pow’r when Thou art nigh.

Refrain

I need Thee every hour, in joy or pain;
Come quickly and abide, or life is vain.

Refrain

I need Thee every hour; teach me Thy will;
And Thy rich promises in me fulfill.

Refrain

I need Thee every hour, most Holy One;
Oh, make me Thine indeed, Thou blessed Son.
